Phil has this one last title to claim, then retire.

He needs this one. He's up against gravity and age, and hasn't looked A+ since 2011. It's becoming harder, obviously.

When BBers are up against the real pressure of their career/legacy, and age, they often take measures they haven't taken in the past. More stimulant, different doses of whatever it is they dose, and of course, you throw in stress.

In the old days, a BBer would be a little nutty to those around them. Today they have thosuands of followers retweeting it. Flaws are magnified and compounded.

Phil has been talked about a lot---negatively. He may be the least liked Mr. O of recent times due to his attitude, but he gets people talking, he garners both positive and negative attention. It's like the Mayweather Effect. People will watch the Mr. O in hopes that he will lose, therefore bringing more attention and marketing dollars to bodybuilding.

He should really stop. His behavior screams INSECURITY and its embarrassing to watch him go at it with the "haters". Why spend so much time on this. He is Mr. Olympia for heaven's sakes. Why does he waste so much time arguing back and forth with a bunch of internet people? He sounds like he is junior high school and it is unnecessary. He wins! He is very successful and has a bright future ahead of him.

This leads me to believe that He doesn't have a good support system around him. He really needs people in his corner that are there for him and build him up to the point where he actually believes his own hype and doesn't need to justify himself to people who want to needle him and get a response.

I don't know if it is a generational thing, plus social media and add in his personality. But, I agree. He has won the Mr. O four times already. If anything, he should ask other past Mr. Os how to deal with the pressure, and athletes from other sports how do they deal with the social media aspect.

If he were in his early 20's I would give him a pass but dude is a little too old to be engaging with the trolls on social media. I look sometimes and I am embarrassed for him because he sounds like his feelings are really hurt.

I don't think he's a bad guy. I think it's the opposite actually. To be honest after the foolery at the press conference and his "victory" speech where it started to turn into another rant against the "HATERS" I didn't care for him at all. I could honestly see why people didn't like him and trolled him. I just think he needs better people around him. Your support system means everything when you've got this type of pressure on.
