I think it's reductive to call it a lifestyle choice. I mean, I do believe it is a choice but I also believe it is something that those afflicted with struggle with at a base level. Homosexuality was considered a mental disorder by the psychiatric community until recently and I don't believe that classification was ever correct.
You can call it reductive but that's just a characteristic of clear understanding.

What else do we know? It's a tiny group of people;
It is estimated that about 0.005% to 0.014% of males and 0.002% to 0.003% of females would be diagnosed with gender dysphoria,What is hard for me to understand is the claim that a person is born with a genetic configuration that requires them to
identify with anything. I'm sure the social aspects are more interesting.
Guess what the "cure" for homosexuality was in the past? Castration and hormone therapy...sound familiar?
