Joons determination to show us all how he is winning by talking about his cars money etc

has brought me to post this

i had an realisation once a moment of pure clarity

nothing and i mean nothing of any value can be bought with money

compare your child laughing in unbridled joy to anything you could buy - no contest not even close

compare the beauty of a summers morning or of waves crashing on golden sand to the bricks and mortar of a house you buy - no contest not even close

we live in a consumer led society where we judge each other by our perceived wealth based on objects we temporarily own

we are looking with blind eyes my friends blind eyes

Wealth is all relative.

I was paid a cun-t-hair above the poverty line until I was literally 30 years old.

Make only a modest salary now (not quite six figures, maybe soon) and it seems like I have all the money in the world.

Everything is determined by the value system of the individual in question and people have different value systems.

For some material wealth and possesions does truly bring them happiness, they feel its an ebodiment of years of hard work and they can be proud to show off their wears for it. It's what gets them off in life.

For other people that is not the case and as you rightly said for those people nothing that truly makes em happy can be bought.

There is no right or wrong.

People are just different.

I have different prespective to the human species as a whole than you do.

People should simply be respectful of other peoples value systems (even if they don't agree with em) instead of trying to preach, judge and make other who don't want to be, be more like them

This is so true, I have five children and all were born healthy and intelligent and I'm able to give them a life where they want for nothing, I may never be able to vacation in the Mediterranean or own a Mercedes but I will be able to put them all through college and raise them in an upper middle class life and I could not be happier about that:)

This is what a lot of people think but its not true. The Bible says the love of money is the root of all evil. There's a big difference.
