I remember he had heart failure a few years ago. I think he tried to continue bodybuilding though.

Yes I thought this also. Chris really was a great guy. He always kept in touch with me. I had talked to him not to long ago. I'm pretty sure he was going through a divorce but can't say for sure. RIP

Strongmen, powerlifters dispite how fat some are healthier and live A LOT longer than bodybuilders. I don't know what Chris died from but these guys are dropping like flies.

On a side note.  A stray cat may have gotten the best of him and scratched out his eyes causing massive bleeding.
