Republican presidential rivals Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) are planning a joint event in Washington, DC to voice their opposition to the nuclear deal with Iran, The Washington Post reported on Thursday.

“We are talking to Ted Cruz, who is a friend of mine and a good guy, about doing something very big over the next two weeks in Washington,” Trump said after a campaign stop Thursday, according to the publication. He added the event was a "protest" against the deal.

A spokeswoman for Cruz told the newspaper that the senator invited Trump to join him, “to call on members of Congress to defeat the catastrophic deal that the Obama Administration has struck with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Cruz also tweeted about Trump's statement.

Seems like Trump always has something up his sleeve to replace the last big event.

Pwning the reporter in Laredo ---> helicopter rides for children at state fair ---> Alabama rally with Jeff Sessions ---> Jorge Ramos massacre----> dc rally with Ted Cruz

Always keeping a fresh story of himself in the headlines.

he's very smart.  Ted Cruz is the biggest threat to him now that Jeb has lost his drive.

So, this week, Trump is talking about the Bible nonstop, and taking a crack at Cruz supporters - and you know he'll peel off a few for it.  Cruz is smart to do it - it makes him the clear #2 and puts Fiorina (struggling to make top 10 in polls) and Carson (stepped in shit with the PP purchase issue) in the rear view.

Trump/Cruz would get a LOT of voters out.

If he can continue to keep America entertained plus hammer away at the media plus continue the hardcore immigration angle, the rest of his policy points really will not matter much.
