There is nothing wrong with casting black actors or other actors of other ethnicities if the race is not pivotal to the character....since a lot of white guys here aren't good at history we forget that for many years WHITE ACTORS portrayed black people (in blackface)....portrayed indians (using red makeup) and portrayed chinese and japanese people by using makeup to slant their eyes.....WHITE ACTORS always portrayed others outside their race.....remember the old Charlie Chan movies???...that was a white actor with slanted eyes playing the role...so whats the PROBLEM NOW>>>>>

clint is one of those actors that has a charisma that can't be replaced, like arnold and sly. This will just feel like bad boys 3 without martin lawrence but he'll have to say clints famous lines which will just come across cringeworthy, similar to that rampage geezer trying to copy mr t saying "i pity the fool" in the A-team movie. It's just forced and lazy.
I'd rather watch clint as harry forced out of retirement even at his age

Agreed...but thats for OUR genertation....today's moviegoers don't give a hell about Clint or Arnold....its about casting actors who...you know...MAKE MONEY

That is exactly the reason why people get upset over terrible remakes and casting. Race is pivotal to most Iconic, fictional characters.

Once the lore is established, it is very hard to go against the grain after that. Imagine a black Jesus

But no ones interested in remakes either, total recall bombed, lost all the qualities of the original, same as conan the barbarian. Red Dawn was crap too with todays actors.
Upcoming point break will just be another modern action film with familiar names but no chemistry between the characters, this is mostly the problem, the originals have charm and personality that can't be replicated.
