Seafood is an elitist food. They have some of the best tasting fish at Long John Silvers, but people will pay much more to say they eat some exotic fish.
Just eat the battered, Alaskan Cod with tartar sauce. Doesnt get much better tasting as far as I am concerned.
Totally agree with the bold (but with malt vinegar, too), though I'm sure I also enjoy whatever it is you're dismissing as elitist. Never thought of seafood as highbrow, however. Expensive sometimes, sure, but it's never been about some faggy airs nonsense. Shellfish is often pricey is all, like a good steak.
In fact, only disliked seafood twice, sushi both times: octopus (rubbery suckers) and mackerel (leathery). Ok, crab too - love the taste, but not worth the effort of cracking shells, scraping for meat slivers.
Elitist?
