Exactly...Sure... Arnold had wider clavicles and bigger rib cage, Yates was not narrow of course, lol, just compared to Arnold, in my honest opinion...
arnold even past his prime looks like a big guy even next to the likes of ronnie, all you have to do is picture him with prime mass to realise  these bodyweights thrown around don't mean much when structures/frame size and bone thickness all contribute.
Can't find any pics of arnold and dorian together for comparison but here you can see arnolds frame size is superior to ronnies

You are living in the past man.

You're hung up on some lifter from the 60's man.

haha, look at that mock up pic of dorian on arnolds book, he's like smashed arseholes, wider waist, smaller fucked up arms, thinner chest, thighs not as separated, no flow, it's not even funny

In reality Arnold wouldn't have stood a chance against The Shadow.

A few shots from the same contest:

Here's Arnold at the age of 53...Same age as Dorian today. LMFAO. Dorian is a fukcing mess...

I agree that picture of Arnold is amazing! (5% Homo)  But not everyone ages like that - I love Samir, here's a picture of him at 53...

And Arnold is rumoured to be 6ft, not 6ft 2" and he's making Ronnie look like a midget in both pics. LOL

exactly so give arnold his prime height and mass and imagine the difference, wouldn't also think arnolds 17 years older either.

Meanwhile back in the real world Dorian will be at his booth at the ARNOLD classic selling fart powders while Arnold flies in on his Gulfstream 5 private jet. Even though I am a dorian fan, lets keep it real. Arnold is the best ever.Too bad he knows it.

Arnold does not have wide clavicles - as well as the ability to build muscle on his delts what disguises this is, just like with his subtle waist twist, that he was a master at hiding them via hitching up his shoulders to give a wider, squarer look

But at moments of true relaxing (as well as scaled down mass) it can be seen that his clavicles are no more than average for a tall guy

Excellent post, I was pointing this out earlier in the thread...

He had even as a kid. Here he is taller, wider with actually smaller hips than the guys next to him.

A comparison how Dorian and Arnold looked when they stood relaxed next to Lou Ferrigno.

A comparison how Dorian and Arnold looked when they stood relaxed next to Lou Ferrigno.

Lou was over 300lbs when he stood next to an undersized Yates and Lou who stood next to Arnold was 265lbs

I would say by pure virtue Arnold had wider clavicles than Dorian simply because he was 6'1" and Dorian 5'10" but neither man had exceptionally wide or narrow clavicles like Wolf & Heath

I can't be the only 6ft tall GetBigger that has shook hands with both these guys and looked just slightly downwards??  Come on?  OK Dorian is slightly smaller but just by a hair - they are both under 6ft people!!!

Bodybuilding is completely subjective, but as i said before, Arnold to me always looked like the guy with bigger frame and wider than Yates, just that... And they are actually close in height, in my opinion Arnold was never 6' foot, peak around 5'11-5'11.5, nothing more, Yates being around 5'10...

it's not easy to judge like that though, i'm 5'10 and can appear 2 inches shorter standing a certain way, everyone could. I've stood close to arnold and he was roughly 2-3 inches taller so i was told. I know a guy in his 60's who's around 6'1, when i speak to him i feel like we are eye level but when i catch a glimpse in a reflection notice he's easily 2 inches  taller but he's got a stooping stance at times being older.
Musclemag and basile both measured arnold over 6'1", easily possible in his prime where he towered over most people he was pictured with. If he dwarfed eveyone in his peak at 5'10-11 all the guys at the 80 O need to have a few inches shaved off too.
I couldn't give a shit if arnolds 5ft but there's no way he was under 6ft peak

You can see there his shoulders are wide, he's stood with good posture and hasn't got the trap development of later which can make the shoulders look narrower because of the slope. If the other guys stood like arnold you can see they still aren't nearly as wide.

He was already doing his shoulder hitch thing, even from the get go- that is not him standing natural, that's him pretending to stand natural but aiming to look a lot bigger (and succeeding)

True relaxed shots show his shoulder frame looked nothing like that,  note the slope of the traps

I agree with that. The comparisons with Lou were just to see their frames not muscle development.

When trying to find out clavicle width don't look at posture(which can be sometimes good, sometimes bad) or the development of the deltoid muscle but rather look at the insertions where the traps are joining the shoulders. And an indicator for ribcage size is the width of the pecs. You can't have wide pecs on a small ribcage and vice versa.Just look at Phil Heath for proof.
