Here is a quote from Wayne DeMilia when he answers a question whether Ronnie is the greatest of all time.Source: Muscular Development December 2005:
"I couldn't answer that with a yes or no for the same reason I couldn't tell you whether Barry Bonds is better than Babe Ruth or vice a versa. It's different eras. It's different times, which means different training, different nutrition, different supplementation etc.To me Ronnie is the best in his era, just like Lee Haney was in his and Arnold before him. That's the only way you could look at it....It makes you wonder if Haney had access to all the nutritional knowledge that Ronnie has today, would he have been even better?THE SAME GOES FOR ARNOLD,WHO WAS ACTUALLY A PHYSICALLY BIGGER MAN THAN EITHER LEE OR RONNIE.HE WAS TALLER AND WIDER."(End of quote)
We know that Wayne was a IFBB chairman for many years so obviously he's seen them many times in person and next to each other.

Arnold on today's drugs would look similar to Gunter. They both had the same wide waist. Arnold's chest may or may not dominate.

Dorian Yates says he would beat Arnold in a contest

How is this even a thing?  Of course Dorian would beat Arnold!  It wouldn't even be close.

But what does that mean if it were true? Gunter did beat Ronnie

Fair points on the ribcage, not questioning that

But to say that the man in the pic below was blessed with wide clavicles is somewhat of a stretch, regardless of posture

As a means of reference look at his mutant half son who definitely does

Keep posting pictures from bad angles of Arnold walking on the street completely relaxed ;D
There are other much better examples don't you think?

I knew that Arnold at 68 reminded me of someone, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Then, in a sudden wave of nostalgia it all came flooding back to me.

Schwarzenegger getting his ass kicked by Mike Mentzer in 1980. Mentzer was the true winner of that contest.

Do you think his son inherited his clavicles from the maid?
We can find pictures of almost anyone looking narrow.Do you think Ferrigno or Moeller didn't have wide clavicles as well because of pictures like that?

If Dorian used the same drug protocol as Arnold did, Dorian wouldn't come close to beating Arnold. And lets add that Dorian is one ugly mofo...

Fuck, he still got those lats.

Arnold clearly has the clavicles to build good wide shoulders, his traps were very wide, check rear relaxed shots to see the volume of the traps. Ronnie and phil both have narrow clavicles which gives their traps a sort of pinched look

Arnold shape & muscle attachments are nothing like Gunter's

The only thing that they have in common is they can both speak German

Mentzer wasn't even close to being the winner and he spent the rest of his life whinging about it.

Let's settle things: if they would have competed in the same era....Arnold would have destroyed Yates.  8)
Arnold would have been 300+

Standards have changed. People would rather look like Arnold....BUT his shallow legs would cost him dear today. How any 6'2 guys do well these days? There's a reason. Plus Arnold's delts next to Yates delts... Plus Hams and glutes.... '93 Yates would kill him.

To walk around a supermarket withy shirt off , doing the pec dance next to Danny Devito however ... I'd choose Arnold's physique every day!
