Do men wear watches to know the time, or to wear jewelry? (serious question).
I don't wear any jewelry, not even my wedding ring.

The time is posted all over the place (phones, cars, etc).
Just curious...

i have kids, i'm clumsy.   I tend to run into doors, no grace to me.

i'd scratch up a nice watch in about 2 minutes.

I was going to suggest Luminox watches, as they used to be around $200. I went and looked and they are all around $400 now. Oh well. Decent watches still.

Just posted about my watch.  I wear a watch for function.  I have a DZ09 Android Smartwatch synced to my Galaxy S8 phone.  All the features of an Apple Watch and even has a removable SIM, Micro SD and Camera and I spent only 11.99 for it including shipping.  Actually looks decent in brushed aluminum although it also comes in gold and edomite

Vince, why do you have your watch synced to your phone? Is it to keep on top of emails?

You nailed it on the head.  I get a ton of emails, calls, and text from my websites for orders and emails so it keeps me from having to pulling out my phone all the time which is honestly the only reason someone should get one to begin with which is the notifier.  No matter what smart watch you get, doing general tasks such as web surfing, calling people, or sending text to people is pointless.   Its also has a anti-lost feature where it rings if the phone is away from it which keeps you from losing your phone or have it stolen.

Now if you're wearing one for status or you collect them, you're a moron if you're considering one in the 200 dollar range because that's way too cheap.  The bare minimum should be 1000 dollars at best these days. Otherwise you'll be spending a lot of money for a watch that won't impress anyone.  I had a Movado watch that was 800 bucks but that was about 15 years ago.

Vince, I am not into fancy things, especially watches. I just use my cell phone for the time. However, I was thinking about buying a relatively nice looking watch in the 200-300$ range. I am not into collecting them, but I think one that looks decent would be nice. You know, just to wear out. On the other hand, having a watch that notifies you about email and whatnot, would also be important.

Another question, Vince: On average, how many emails do you get per day?

At least 200 of them.  But I have the phone set up to only alert me from my emails attached to my Stripe or Paypal account because its usually a new order request coming in or an inquiry about something.  I can then pull out my phone and immediately email back an answer if its important or use my Google Assistant to remind me about it when I get back home.

I understand that you're wanting to spend 200-300 bucks however lets face it.  A watch is for the most part for telling time so honestly I wouldn't spend that much based on what you're telling me because you don't collect them.  Go with what visualizeperfection said and get a Timex Weekender.

Crazy amount of emails. I'd never be able to keep up with that many emails a day! :o :o

Yeah, maybe I'll go with a "weekend" type watch. Or get one of those Casio calculator watches!  ;D ;D
