Gotta admit that this bodybuilder is huge, and although he was not at his peak, he looked tremendous on stage.

He hails from France, where he won the 2014 IFBB French Championships (IFBB is an amateur organization in France).

315 pounds on stage is what it looked like, although his trainer said it was a bit more. Wow.

Ron. Question for you. How is someone from France able to compete in NPC events? National to me means America only. International would mean other countries. What are the rules regarding this? Thanks

ELIGIBILITY

An athlete must be a citizen to compete in the following national competitions:

Masters National Championships
USA Championships
Team Universe Championships
Nationals Championships

Proof of citizenship must be one of the following:

A birth certificate
A voter’s registration card
Military discharge papers
Naturalization Papers – Form N560
Consular Service Form FS24 for those born outside of the United States to US parents

Residency is four (4) months prior to a contest or must be a full time student in the area.

Anyone can compete in any local NPC events. You cannot compete in National NPC events.

The Novice Bikini winner at this competition originally came from Japan. She looked great too.

Morgan Aste was a strongman and powerlifter at one time. He is trying his hand at bodybuilding. He is competing in the USA because there are rumors that in France, they would not give him a pro card? He did compete last year at the Arnold Amateur Europe but did not place in the top 5 (9th?)

He's in So.Cal. He should head right to Hollywood. He has a much better future there than the IFBB.

I think he has potential to do well in signing up with a major supplement company. He can also pick up a few gigs in a movie or TV show or two.

I look at him and think of guys like Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who played the Mountain on Game of Thrones. He went from being an Icelandic professional strongman competitor at the height of 6'9 and weight of 419 pounds, to becoming a TV show actor.
