Ron Partlow said that people saw Kai and Aaron Singeman/PjBraun in Florida (when Kai was in Florida) so he asked his manager how much is Kai asking from companies, and he said 700k a year!   a question - when someone like Kai,Heath,Jay got a contract let say 100k a year,do they pay taxes on that or the company pay the taxes for that so you receive the NET sum?

Didn't Kai agree to pay Oscar Ardon half his Olympia prize money one year?  ???

Only Tony Doherty and Wiggs would know this.

First off, its his manager that was doing the talking....not Kai.  Secondly, his manager Adam was pitching for up to a million dollars for Kai.

Phil Heath was dropped not because Muscletech couldn't afford it but because they would rather spend it on physique models and MMA fighters....along with the fact that he wanted everything paid for like a diva.

That's not much considering he is the second best bodybuilder in the world.....Kyrie Irving plays second fiddle to Lebron and yet he makes 16 million a year...not including his Nike deal.

Kai should be asking 2 million minimum, can't sell himself short.

Kai sells himself short all the time to the highest bidder with the lowest morals.  After all, he's a manslut.

Musclemeds did not drop him.  When they wanted to renew, Kai and his manager wanted a lot more money, close to 500K from the 250K he was getting. Musclemeds opted not to overpay for Kai. Simple business decision. Kai did not build Musclemeds as he contends.

As for Phil, Muscletech did not drop him either. They wanted to renew, but Phil wanted a lot more money, close to 800K instead of the 500K he was getting. When Muscletech realized that Phil was not going to budge, then the legal paperwork came out in ending their relationship.  Another business decision.

Kudus to Phil Heath for building up Gifted Nutrition, as well as Kai Greene for building up his own line (Dynamic Muscle). Of course, there are the financial and creators behind the lines (the athletes are the 'face' of the companies).

Wow, another supplement company added to the mix.  The only one I ever see on shelves is Arnold's bullshit.  Can't believe there are enough dollars in the industry to support all these companies.

It's a shame that all these pros are going the supp company route (not that I buy any bb supps). I doubt any of them are doing it because they want to create the best supps ever, or because they have had this amazing idea that will revolutionise the fitness industry, they are just doing it for a buck - which to me means the product will be shit.

The money is in the supp companies. Why be paid by them, when you can have your own line? Now they are the owners/businessmen.

Yea I watched that "seminar" on youtube before too about how to start your own supplement company in 5 minutes.

It's incredible how these bodybuilders can source and recruit the team required to develop and bring to market so many ground-breaking, bicep-bursting nutritional supplements.

I believe they are supremely jaded at that point.

Think about someone like Cutler or Phil. They've been serious bodybuilders for 2 decades or more. They outright know that the bodybuilding world is built on lies. They know the supplements are shit and they've probably already "repped" a few brands saying the same canned bullshit for years. They wear the shirt and the hat, and sit at the booth between competitions. The move from brand to brand and they realize "the kids will buy whatever shit I sell from whatever scammer company I represent."

The smart ones simply realize that it's good business to represent their own brand.

After all, how hard is it to source aspartame and milk byproduct protein powder?

He has an expensive NY condo.  The ghetto crib was for painting and a front.

May as well capitalize while it's hot and capitalize on your own name rather than give your name to someone else but I agree in principle.  Frankly I think there are better avenues to make money than going to expos every weekend shilling supplements but I'm sure the profits are pretty good so may as well do it while you can!
