I think you're going to see a genetic pool we've never seen before old and new.  The popularity is going to be outrageous.  What they've done is made Mr. Classic Olympia look very attainable to the average joe. Not to mention who wouldn't want to look like Frank Zane to the average person.  TuHolmes, I originally titled my thread 5 years but changed it to 10. It's going to be very soon.  And all the promoters will pull all their money out of Open pro shows and Open NPC shows to Classic when they get the entrance fees and audience.  This is great!

I'd have to disagree.  This country is due for a fitness revolution. More and more people are getting into fitness and health in the U.S. and you can attach fitness and health to a classic physique not a current pro. Classic is much more marketable to the general public so they're bound to gain new fans and athletes during this revolution.

There's nothing stopping a 5'9 guy from entering the 212 division.  He's just going to look lanky compared to a 5'4 212 guy.  So it's really up to the judging.

I like the height weight thing because you can control the physiques but wouldn't these shows favor taller me.  Although a guy 6'1 210 lbs or whatever it is is going to look lanky against a 5'9 192 lbs guy.
