To the best of my memory ... everything was legal back then and in some cases you didn't even need a doc's prescription.

True story: We went to a horse show in Kentucky and individual horses were displayed for stud service. Each horse was extremely muscular so one of us (no name mentioned) waited until the auction was over and asked to meet the Vet .

We asked the vet how the horses got so muscular and the vet simply opened a refrigerator and said "Equapoise". (Spelling?)

We left with a bunch of Equipoise (spelling?) and the results were excellent except that from that day on, I counted with my feet and started running as soon as the front gate swung open.

To the best of my knowledge ... that was the beginning of the equipoise phase. (Could be wrong though.)

Just drop the prize money of the open and give most of it to the classic and you will see many of the bloated messes disappear. However people still like to see crazy big, so keep it like they do women's bodybuilding. It will just be an after thought where we will all look but be glad it him and not me that will probably be dead in 5 to 10 years...

The world is all about excess and not what is better.  Schome's have taken physical culture and turned it against the general population.  It's like the Folsom Street Fair.  An event for the fetishists come out from the confines of their poor lives built upon sticky floors and ribbed condoms slathered in anal-eze.

Such as these judges kept the likes of Bob Paris from winning the Olympia and all because he was not just "gay" but well mannered and spoken.  Able to be accepted by the mainstream instead of their mainline.

I do believe he came out toward the end of his career but that doesn't mean it wasn't a factor.

Jokes aside, This won't affect open bodybuilding IMO - look classic bodybuilding has been hugely popular in EU for years now and open freak bodybuilding is still thriving there along side it. Lots of "scarcity mentality" bodybuilders feeling threatened by this - thinking it will take somthing away from them..maybe it will...cause as it stands not many can relate to the top guys at the Olympia - they look like freakin' aliens - This is mean to be pleasing to the eye like an art form, they need to get the judging back on track for open freak bodybuilding div. even if that means awarding the "smaller" more aspirational aesthetic physiques like Roden etc. in preference to mass and penelize those herniated turtle bellies, pizza back & obvious sythol abusers.

WIGGS, I'M NOT 100% sure here but .... I think that this new CLASSIC Division was made for the likes of these guys, but I am not positive that each of them would meet the  height/weight requirement and be in top condition.

Maybe you can let these GetBiggers know the height and weight of the following potential contenders (if you know) and if they would or would not qualify to participate within this new division.

I personally believe that this new division will open the floodgates for billions (exaggeration intended) of new NPC/IFBB classic contenders.

Yup, I always wanted to try Finajet heard great things about back then. Never got the chance. Would never do Anadrol, too toxic. Heard some crazy shit from friends about side effects. Also never did Test was afraid of gyno. Stuck to low dosages of D'Bol, Deca, Anavar and Winstrol.
