I was being a bit harsh but yes, I was making no racial aspersions. I am Irish - the red carpet was not rolled out for us in USA or UK for a long time but we got over it.
As for your most recent post, Ireland has only had a property tax two years and it is a pittance. I know the elite personally (ie billionaires/multimillionaires and top level politicians/businessmen) and I know ones that have lost it all. They all bleed the same blood. Ireland isn't perfect but it is a lot fairer than USA with its social welfare and taxation system.
I am not spiritually dead. I'm an atheist, but that does not preclude me from having a good heart and being content with who I am. In fact I would argue relying on yourself to be the force for good in your life (not praying you change, doing it yourself for example) is spiritually more mature than divesting that to a higher power.
