Seriously how do some small businesses come close to making enough for someone to live on? There is this frozen yogurt shop I go to where I wonder this. It's a small shop in a big building downtown. The rent must be fairly high, but it's been there for 20 years. Avg yogurt costs between 3 and 5 bucks. I can't see them averaging more than 8 yogurts an hour max, so 24-40 bucks an hour, with at least half going to rent and supplies. Leaving 12-20 bucks an hour for a dude and his wife to split.

I used to know a canteen truck driver tht had 3 trucks going andbhe drive,the wife another and his son drove one.They made 300k a year after inventory and before taxes.They did great for easy work.

Maybe they have other businesses that are booming and they do this business as a side business because they enjoy it and could afford it.

Pretty sure I live in the food truck capital of the world. Whenever I go to a food truck court I walk around forever because I have a hard time deciding what to get.

A lot of the corner stores in the city with the POS surly foreigner working in it, remind me of that. Al Qaida outposts, I call them. Pushing alcohol and tobacco in the poor neighborhoods.

If you had the French fries with eggs on the side, a small glass of orange juice and some black coffee, I'd say good job. Basically, the more traditional version of eggs with hash browns, some fruit or fruit juice and unadulterated coffee to get you going, is the same thing.
