2 Training/Eating Inquiries
« on: September 15, 2015, 11:11:42 AM »
1. Eating-Im 30 days in paleo. Love it. Im considering lowering the amount of meat intake and upping the vegetable intake. My vegetables are zucchini, asparagus and romaine lettuce. My meat is chicken 90% of the time 3x per day and 10% steak. I cant eat fish.

2. I train 2 days on 1 off. 1 bodypart and then interval sprints cardio. Id like a routine where I can burn calories on a daily basis. (take off College Football Saturday)

My goal is DEFINITELY NOT to build muscle. I am 276 pounds at the moment, 6 feet tall. Body composition change, fat loss, if theres weight loss fine are my absolute goals. Enclosed is a recent pic of me at 278, but I dont care what I weight. I just want to be more fit as I approach my 50th birthday.

You can get this for $8 on amazon....might not be what you're looking for, but I did it for seven weeks and fat melted.    You can also add your own sprint type cardio if you felt it necessary.  I believe it's like 6 days a week.

hmmm I never knew I could go from looking like complete shit to looking great in 30 days
I hope I still look like shit after 30 days or I would probably need cancer or aids to lose the weight

at your age,   i would recomend upping your cardio alot

like doing two sessions per day if possible, when getting back into shape after getting up to 240   which i fucking hated.   the cardio helped

me more than anything, the shit i did in my 20's didnt work anymore,  do  a shit load of cardio and weight train 3 to 4 days a week.

also pm wes his diet knowledge is high. and hes old to, and pulls in young whores.

Let's go over this again:

A hour of walking burns about 300 calories. That's about the same number of calories in a chocolate donut which can be eaten in 2 minutes.

Forget about exercise for weight loss. Exercise is for health and fitness with a byproduct of burning a few calories.

Weight loss is all about diet.

Put the damn fork down!

what happened to me is i went from 175 to 240 in six monthes

i felt like utter shit and had no energy  in my 20's i could weight train and just do a low carb diet, which is basically like paleo

i am back down to 175 now    and feel much better.    try doint more cardio and see how you feel, just get some good music, i would recomend

getting a treadmill throw a   tv in front of it and get hulu ,   tons of tv shows on there.

Calculate TDEE on the internet... Eat in a slight deficit with all clean foods and train... If you lose the weight too fast and do too much cardio you will just end up having the same bf% but at a lower weight which looks even worse... It took time to get to 276 and be overweight and have alot of fat it's gonna take time to get it all off cleanly... So buckle up and get ready to start being disciplined (no sexual reference intended)

in addition to whatever else you do

- get a bike and go to nearby locations on it
- walk whenever possible
- if you can handle drugs, caffeine worked wonders for me... two cups of coffee and i don't need to eat all day.  you may end up fucked though :D

maybe these will just sap your energy but they could help, who knows.  i think a high volume of low-intensity exercise (if you can fit it into your life) is worth trying, whether in conjunction with or instead of high-intensity exercise.

anyway good luck and keep us updated

This is generally true. However, if you really get into endurance sports, like cycling and running, you can definitely drop significant amounts of weight. When I used to run a lot, as soon as I hit 40 miles a week  which wasn't that much for serious marathon training, I would start to drop weight fast. Guys running 50 plus miles a week, which is not that uncommon among serious runners, can pretty much eat what they want, within reason. The OP, who actually doesn't look that bad, seems like an endo-meso so he's probably not genetically predisposed to endurance sports, but there's no reason he can't incorporate them in his routine.
