Question about Trump
« on: September 15, 2015, 04:06:38 PM »
So I watched part of his Alabama speech I think and now his Texas one, its like the same speech, mainly about him. Does this boring old wind bag have anything new to say? Does he have any real policies?

His big thing is that he's rich and is a winner. And he also realizes that Mexicans are entering the country illegally and committing crimes and sucking up our resources.

Yes he has plenty. Preventing large numbers of illegal immigrants entering the country is one of them. He wants to re-negotiate/change the Iran deal as it's terrible for the United States as well. He is requiring higher taxes for the 1% and wants to help the middle class. He wants to approve of the pipeline and create more American jobs that are better than min. wage jobs so people can support themselves. He wants to open more jobs for the military as well. He wants to treat the veterans more fairly and develop a system where none of them are left out. He is focused on women's rights and he is not pro-choice. He said he will also work on bringing back the hostages from Iran and said before he even steps in office that it will be done. He said he can fix the economy and bring back more jobs and brands from other countries. Just some of the things he's talked about....

Pretty much nailed it. Seems to have a decent sized cross over appeal as well because I have heard plenty of liberals say they would consider voting for him.

I will vote for him in the republican primary and then in the general election.  He is just what this country deserves.

Saying something is one thing. Trying to implement it and getting Americans to buy into it is another thing.  Finally, getting anything of substance through a highly partisan Congress is very hard to do.

Could you imagine President Trump blasting John Boehner or Mitch McConnell on his Twitter feed if they don't help force his agenda through? It's a real possibility if he gets elected.

It's tough for him to do these things if he hasn't been elected president yet, don't you think? Save your pre-conceived judgements for something other than presidential debates... or else you might as well not vote because you can say that for pretty much anyone in the running....

the benefit of being a candidate is being able to say "I would have done better than the guy in office, he sucks and I am a winner". Also, candidates never give specific details on how they would have done better.

I would love to see his plan on eliminating "immigrants". What's odd is that the Reps were making a concerted effort to attract "Florida" and "California" Hispanic voters

Executive Order:  Starting 3 months from now whoever shows up at a port of entry from Mexico takes a number to determine their place in line for status and can legally enter if they have a relative here who will vouch for them and once registration and criminal instant print check is run.  Many, many, many would self deport to get in line first to come back legal.

It's amusing to watch, really. Just promising the world, anything that comes to mind.

Immigration: "Yeah, fuck the Mexicans! They'll pay for the wall! And everyone gets a free gardener and housekeeper, good for one year!"

Economy: "Everyone gets a job! Fuck it, you get your own company! And China PAYS US all the money we owe them!"

Military: "Pfft, you kidding? No one messes with us again: Skynet, starfighters, cyborgs, invisibility cloaks, doomsday device, Frodo's ring, hyperspace button, all that shit! USA! USA! USA!"

And they clap, and whistle, and cheer, like he means it. The dumb monkeys.

Trump has called himself a democrat.

And consider the realism of this:

"I'm going to round up 10% of the US population, put them in camps, and send 30 million people to die in the desert"

"Nobody is going to be able to simply dig a hole under the $150 billion concrete wall I'm putting over 1900 miles of border, on people's lands, etc"

The ONLY concrete thing he's running on - kicking them out - would create a mini-country of 30 million nomads.  The crime, drugs, disease, that'd come of 30 million people living in the desert... can you imagine the mess?   lawlessness, hundreds of murders a day, tweets of rape and starvation, exactly ten feet from texas, california, etc.

Interesting to say the least - and trump is smart enough to know it'll never happen.

I wonder how many Mexicans Mexico's sent over to start earning money for that wall they gotta buy.
