My last relationship was with a single mother, she only had one kid.  Worst decision of my life.  Wasted the best years of my life miserable with this bitch.  Both her and her daughter ended up burning me and badmouthing me after it was over.  I am in my 40's now, so odds are any women I meet will be a Mother, so I think i am destined to be single the rest of my days and get some poontang whenever the opportunity arises. I never had kids or married, had plenty of girlfriends, just kept avoiding marriage and this is the end result.  I could never let go of the concept of freedom, marriage always did literally seem like a ball and chain to me.  After a while women realise you will never commit and move on.

Don't feel too bad.  Having a nagging ass wife and a kid who doesn't do what you want aren't exactly great things either.  But the wife doesn't always nag me at least and half the time the kid does what I say.

To be honest, only place I have ever been is Bali over twenty years ago for a holiday.  I don't seem to have the travel bug, I live in a nice part of the world (or so I think) and I often joke other people spend a small fortune to come here and do the things I do on a regular basis.  I don't even know if I could get a passport anymore (had some minor trouble with the police once or twice, nothing to serious, but convictions recorded) 

But maybe I should look into it, ageing can sometimes force a man to re-evaluate and reflect on his own worldview and look for ways to shake things up.  Moving closer to mortality changes a man's outlook, I think.  Plus the other problem is I am always in two minds, one minute I think I want a woman, and then the next I think, what do I want that trouble for.  You know that old saying, "Be careful what you wish for."

First, if you live in the US only if you have a felony conviction will you have passport issues. Travel bug or not you need to get away to other parts of the world every now and then to expand your mind.

here is some advice for you... project forward, there is no way that you can retire in the US, this shit is just too expensive and getting more so every year. 

anyway... as long as you keep yourself in shape you can have any many short term girlfriends as you want...

Calfzilla, in his huge, intellectual brain, failed to consider all the single moms who are single because their husband died of cancer or some other disease (or perhaps an accident). Or some fathers are just deadbeat dads and walk out on their family. Happens more often than we think.

I have no problem meeting and/or dating a single mom. However, if the father is still in the picture and there is HUGE drama and hes not paying child support, than I will not date her. That is drama I do not want. However, if the biological father is actively in the picture and is committed to his/her child, then I have no problem dating a single mom.

Its really all about the context. Each situation is different. Hell, I knew a single mom who was a medical doctor; she was making about $300,000K a year. She did not need a guy for financial support. She wanted a guy for the same reason that most people want to be in an intimate relationship; connection.
