Good shots -- thanks for posting.  2015 Phil RDB: his lower lats are really bulging in that shot, almost swollen 

That is because he leans back to create that effect. Which also makes him shorter. Also I think he has a slight thickness problem in his lower back and does this to hide that. It's not much of a problem, but, before he started the leaning back, he kinda got washed out in the lower back.

Rhoden is lacking quite a bit here.  His lower half is much bigger than Phil's but not better.  Phil seems to have more conditioning in the hams and calves.

Rhoden isn't exactly displaying any separation in the arms either when showing from the front (except in FDB)

How do you judge this? Rhoden clearly has the better overall shape and taper, but, Phil has the superior middle back thickness and lower lat development. Condition wise, they look about the same.

Phil was at his prime 2011. He has declined progressively ever since.

^^This.  I don't see it.  Rhoden's arms are uneven, smaller and less defined than Heaths...his shoulders overpower in the BDB shot...Heath has better balance and KILLS him when they turn around.  I'm not Phil fan...but it is what it is.
