He is actually further from the camera. That angle makes him look shorter than he is.

All those little guys, they hide away when they pose. Sadly, so too do many of the taller men of today.   Squatting down like a rice paddy momma taking a poo when they should be standing tall, showing their height to advantage.

The biggest thing about this photo that is deceiving is that they are posing for the judges, not the cameras. Phil has arguably done the best job and is really tilting toward the judges to look better. Of course, from a more birds-eye view that the cameras have, he appears smaller, compressed.

He does what it takes to win. Arnold did the same shit and we love him for it.
