Fuck no! I trained and was a stuntman for a very short time and that was painful as fuck.
I couldn't imagine taking those lumps day after day, year after year.

I trained and worked in the Scottsdale/Phoenix Az area. never made it big just a few local commercials.
It was the late 80's early 90's. most of what I did was geared toward Western stuff. cowboys and such..
My favorite was weekends. for extra money I worked in a fake Western town. tourists would bus out and bunch of us would be dressed like cowboys and we'd do shootouts, bar fights, horse riding, horse riding falls and building falls.

...lots of fun but like I said painful, all the training in the world but falling off a moving horse still hurt!
one slip or misstep and the punch or kick would connect solid.

Lol, plenty, like the time I was riding up to a fence and when the horse turned I lost my foot in the stirrup and fell off and went head first through the fence.

....I'm laying there all dazed and the crowd is cheering like crazy thinking it was part of the act.

Or getting dragged half way through the Arizona desert when the strap didn't come off when I did a fall from a running horse.

Or doing a bar fight in the middle of the tourists having lunch and actually getting punched in the mouth and people thinking the specs of blood that landed on them was fake.

My girl actually wanted to and still sometimes does.

I would, but unfortunately, the requirement of travel and time compared to my current profession doesn't really make much sense right now.

The idea is always there though.

A stunt man's job is a painful paycheck.
