He's now won two shows, placed 8th in his first Olympia and had a 2nd place at the arnold beating two guys in the top five from last years olympia. I say yes, he is and that he is now a definite top 6 threat at the O.

Anybody know what he does to give him that grainy look the others do not appear to have? Any idea if that kind of conditioning is something that can be repeated long term? I don't know much about it, and am amazed that in virtually every contest he enters, hell even photo shoots I see him in he looks really dry.

He suffers the old fashioned way and doesn't drink water for days as opposed to letting lasix do all the work. Dorian did the same thing and it equals a super shredded, grainy look. Shawn and Kev used to do it too. Not to say that all the aforementioned athletes didn't use some form of diurhetic (sp?), but they didn't rely on it as heavily as others did.
Plus, branch trains very heavy and started on the basics... especially the squat.

I to wonder how he gets that look, I believe its due to his power liftin style workin out in his early years that helped him achieve this, but no idea really.

But i do agree that he seems very unhealthy. Im worried that in a few years he will be another momo/mentzer, with strivin to reach ultra dry conditioning.

Dorian managed to make a career out of it and he didn't kill himself while getting incredibly dry. Its the guys who try to do last minute stuff (mustafa) or are just wildly irresponsible with their health and drug use (momo, munzer) that get hurt in the "not so long" run

no, just as ruhl was not "solidified" as a top pro after taking 5th at the o. when you look good, you place well. when you look like s***, you place low. but warren seems to know what he's doing and i hope he will stay in the top tier for a while.

He's got the same density as Yates, but unfortunately also the same aesthetics & powerlifter look with torso too big for the arms and H-taper waist and hips.

Probably the UK white guy genetics including bad teeth.

I think he looks like crap to be honest....although its pretty clear I'm in the minority here. Like some weird science experiment he reminds me a lot of Palumbo: more veins than cuts, terrible lines, weird symmetry

nothing weird about Branch.. He was better then cutler as a teen...Naturally just a strong big guy..

in the first pic i noticed that i htink he needs to lay off on all of those shoulder presses...(he did 315 for 25!!) because his fornt delts are too over powering and making his chest look shallow. (and he has a thick chest!!)....i never understood training front delts hard anyway...unless your chest is really good/and or overpowering.

i think branch thinks that when people said he needed to bring up his shouldrs, that he could do so with presses......instead of what people really meant..(laterals)
