Thats cool , I said my bit , and was just calling it like I see it , if it pissed any one off then prehaps that is because they see a reasonable amount of what I said in themselfs, and if you think I am just being protective of my mate , then yeah I am , but hey shot me for it !!!!!!!

Oh hey I am a pro , but you know what I havent competed for 3 years or more now, how did I earn my pro card well I won a few shows as a amature, 27 to be exact , I sarted of as a lite weight , and finished as a light heavy in amature and competed as a heavy as a pro !!

Why dont I have a personal website , why should I , I am not in the business of self promotion any more , those days are gone , I am happy just shooting the shit with you guys !!!

This is not directed to Lee but a general point....there are alot of themes in use.

Personally, I attended to see world class physiques. If I wanted to see theatrics I would attend a Las Vegas show. Also, the same way that if a Broadway performer stripped off and started hitting poses - he probably would not look good - the same could be said in reverse. These competitors are the best of the best, and their physiques/fitness routines are great alone. IMO the 'creativity' takes away from their routines.
That being said, I do understand that the IFBB likes 'creativity' so the competitors are merely working with that in mind....

Go back to the days when props were banned.

Go back to the days when you had to wear solid colored posing trunks and glitter etc was banned.

Bodybuilding is a weird sport so to have ANY cred you need to play everything besides the actual near naked posing straight up and serious... the props and the glittering posing trunks have pushed it over to the gay side too much...

Do you seriously worry about guys who hate on you? For f ucks sake, your a pro bodybuilder. Most of the guys who are serious about training, dieting and competing would give their left nut to be where you are.

Like I've said many times. I like being big, and always will. Everytime I go to the gym it's in an effort to look just infintesimally more like guys like you. Since I was ten and opened up a bodybuilding mag I was like "that's the life for me". Guys like you are an inspiration to some, not all. And the guys that flame this can go suck themselves.

Really, props to you on the Ironman.

I understand what they are trying to get the athletes to do , increase the entertainment value , but that said does this mean that the free posing round is no longer scored !!! for how can they score if there are so many varibles now involved !!! whos to say a preditor mask is better than a super man costume !!
I beleive they should also do away with the props, I was known for my posing routines , I put a lot of thought into then and made them mean and say something but I never needed props, and I always treated the posing round as a scored round , hence the effort !!!

Mate thats exactly my point... a posing routine can be entertaining if done well.

Part of the problem today is these shows are way too long, the guys pose for way too long and the stages are way too distracting.

Muscle needs to be the central focus since it is bodybuilding afterall...

MMMmmmm...no. your logic would prevail in grade school, but you must step back and look at the big picture gto kilr. if everyone were talking shit about someone in a different proffesion...lets say baseball and making fun of their physique, that would make them "insecure losers". but bodybuilding is about looks, it is about a perception, bodybuilders are pieces of meat to LOOK at. period...plain and simple. whether your gay, straight, muscle worshipper...whatever... these guys stand on stage in barely any clothing for fans to look at them.

fact of the matter is, BBing is a cult sport.

Think about it. Every competitor obviously uses drugs dangerous drugs. Lots of prostitution going on. Fan Base is way different from that of most other sports. Nearly naked competitors. Oiled up. Flexing. Nutrient-deprived, unhealthy competitors. People DIE after shows. Atletes openly tell pros to F off. It's a crazy sport. So it's hard to take anything on the boards, at shows, etc, too seriously. Lee's outfit was lame, Titus was a junkie killer, Shawn is leading on fans, 240 is a prick, yada yada... we're all the same messed up breed here.
