Milk with Whey
« on: March 05, 2006, 06:16:42 PM »
Since Whey is gernerally reserved for use post-workout because of its quick absortion rate,  if you make your Whey shakes with milk, does the cassin from the milk hinder the quick absorbing whey?   Just curious...

I've always mixed protein powder with milk before drinking it. Drinking powder with water is tough since some brands dont mix well with water and tastes odd. I didn't take int oaccount the absorption rate until i read this post (and another similar one on Milos board). So drinking a protein shake (with milk) is not the way to go?

I never even really thought about any of that.
So having whey before bed with milk is fine (slower absorption), but afetr work out with water??
