Why do you guys sit on here and talk about politics. Talk about whos right and wrong. At all? No matter what you say or do you wont have a .00000000000000001% influence on anything political. So whats the purpose?

We are probably the dumbest group on this board. We get all upset over shit that we can't agree on about a group of people (politicians) that don't give a shit what we think.

I think it's a great thing.  I was talking to someone the other day who believes none of us can make a difference.  That's the mindset (apathy) that causes and maintains a lot of our problems.  I think the people who become engaged in the process through voting, reading, watching, listening, and talking about it are more informed voters who not only become good contributors, but can influence others. 

That said, I have called this sort of a sickness.  Politics is dirty and frustrating.  I have questioned my involvement in this mess numerous times.

I phone my Mom and say....who you want me to vote for? She tells me and I do it.

Then I dont even think about politics for another 4 years when that 19 second conversation will take place again

so youre telling me my Mom, who was a campaign manager for a provincial premier where I live and has EXTREMELY STRONG political knowledge and ties to everything political is going to give me wrong advice? I simply dont share her passion, but I know she will point me the right way.

I have no interest in thinking for myself politically so I dont come across as some arrogant asswipe like you who feels it necessary to tell people he is smarter than them.
