So can I report all posts I don't like for whatever reason and have a mod whitewash them?
Not that I'm going to start doing that (since I'm not a wet bitch like Howard) but just checking on policy here.
For example I had a post deleted (twice) informing him that a thread about whether he should post a thread is stupid (just post a thread, christ). What rule is this breaking?
If it breaks a rule, then we will delete it if brought to our attention. If it doesn't break a rule, but it causes a member to experience mental and/or emotional anguish, we will review it and see whether it's the kind of post that was made in terrible taste and might be better off removed (think posts about child sexual molestation or posts that could possibly ignite a psychological break that would lead a member to bring harm upon themselves or others).
I tend to let most things stand unless you send me a private message and give me a few good reasons for something to be deleted. Sometimes, I have people send me 5-10 messages, all in a span of an hour to have something removed.
My favorite line: "Can you remove that post and not let anyone know it was me that asked you to do it, I am trying to keep a certain reputation around here?"
