After he won the Mr. Canada overall in 78, he went to Acapulco and placed third in the heavy's( I think ) to Mentzer's win at that years Mr. Universe. That's the last thing I knew.

I can't picture Reid on that board. I am a member there and have never seen any post even mentioning him.

If someone does know his handle, they can let us know.

On another note ( 619 ) these types of posts and interactions are positive and if they continue, we should have no problem. Thanks for your comments.

You never know 619, I'll take a look. Reid would be in his lmid to late 50's now and I find it hard to believe he would be on a board, let alone CJM.

We will see.

I believe that's L-R:  Reid, Hubert Metz of Germany and Christian Janatsch of Austria.  You may recall that Christian dated Rachel McLish for a while.

Reid was a perennial entrant at the Worlds representing Canada in the heavyweights in the late 70's-early 80's.

Man, he got beat by that terrible Hubert Metz.

Metz was once asked in an interview if he had aspirations of winning a lot of contests after turning pro and he said no, he felt he'd already basically reached the limits of his genetic potential.  And ya know what, he was probably right!
