Seems like Markus could have taken the 2006 ASC if he came in at his best. Honeslty, when guys like Cutler, Ruhl, Coleman, and Gunter are absent there seems to be a LOT less excitement towards the shows.

there seems to be a lot less excitement regarding the whole bbing scene. The Mr. O was talked about for what like a week after it was done. Nobody is really talking about the Arnold. It's all bullshit

Staying home or showing up at the ASC, Ruhls finances would not have changed this weekend. In fact with saving $$ on air fare,he came out ahead.

yeah i can understand why Cutler is skipping the Arnold with him wanting to win the mr. O and all. But why Gunther and Ruhl, its not like they stand a chance at the mr. O anyway..

Well he needs to qualify for the Olympia. I bet he'll skip the May shows and try to qualify at one of the small shows just before the Olympia.

The Big Ruhl says he's going to compete at the IFBB Atlantic City Pro in New Jersey in September to requalify for the O.

ruhl was third at the arnold a few years back behind cutler and cormier, against this years linup he could have done really well.

It must suck being cutler, banking on ronnie getting injured or taking a surprise retirement. Meanwhile he knows he can take the ASC, but has to always settle for second at the O.

And that's where it needs to be, mini Vegas. Thses cities draw a huge crowd. Markus usually dominates the smaller shows cuz they don't have such a broad range of judging criteria and there's less competition over all. I don't think Markus cares about the ASC..or victory, he just wants to be on the O stage.

The arnold is ruled by smaller frames, not mass monsters. That is why you don't see the big guys there.
