I first became aware of Getbig in 2000. Back then, you could post as a guest without registering.

In 2004, to limit the gimmicks (no bs), registration became mandatory. That's when I finally registered.

15 years, from age 35 to 50.

That said, I'm not sure if those of us who have been here for a decade or more should be receiving congratulations or condolences.

Guests really did make this place the thunderdome but it was also pretty difficult to have a discussion as a guest - which is why I eventually registered, prior to the cutoff. The registered members would deliberately disparage guests opinions on ah, some sort of grounds of cowardice

The place was better then. GB had a bigger presence in bodybuilding, then - it forced some people to come here and wage war. It's just not necessary for a pro to read getbig, now. It was back then.

Facebook, twitter etc, too many other ways for them to get there egos stroked.Back then it was just forums.
