I remember seeing him at the Olympia expo back in 99. He had a t-shirt on that said, fuck genetics. He was fucking massive and shredded despite his shape. Dude was a legit freak in his day.

I saw Dave in Boston once and he was 315 with abs and vascular as hell.

If he didn`t blow out his body with gear,he could have been a good pro.

Big Dave should have went pro back then. It's strange how so many of those guys (I'm thinking of dudes Muscletech made popular like Eric Froum, Matt Duval, Jeremy Freeman) had to "struggle" for an elusive pro card and Palumbo never got it.

None of those guys did jackshit with their cards either.

Back then the classes were stacked...............es pecially Heavyweight and Supers.........much easier to get a card today with the shitty bodies we see now.

100% correct and they're dead too (Matt and Eric anyhow). I always thought Dave upset someone in power, allegedly because he kept taking guest posing gigs as an amateur.

For what it's worth not winning a pro card probably saved Daves life.
