Yup, Love IAD too. Album has such a unique atmosphere/aesthetic.

Misanthropic Spectrum is my jam.

On a more tame note, I checked out both new Queensryche albums, and am underwhelmed by both. And this is coming from a huge fan of The Warning and Rage for Order.

Just picked up The Warning on vinyl.

Not metal but I know there are a few Rush fans here, good interview with Neil Peart, who doesn't really do interviews

Queensryche ... a great band that totally shit the bed. Now you have two factions, neither with the same punch as old.

Taking Over ... a great album. Saw Overkill a bunch of times back in the day, including the legendary L'Amour in Brooklyn, NY.

Wow dude, that's awesome! I'm an Overkill fanboy for sure. Really would have loved to catch them live when Gustafson was still in the band.

Those guys did a great cover of Children of The Sea a few years ago -

.

The channel it's on used to have great coverage of lots of shows in the western half of the States. Here was another video of St. Vitus that they shot a bit ago that I liked quite a bit -

Rush's '70s material is absolutely early heavy metal. And the band basically is the first progressive metal group. The '80s stuff is weird. It's like new wave hard rock. From the early '90s on, the boys went back to more streamlined hard rock.

Rapture

Awesome, under rated album!!! Second ranked Morbid Angel album (after the all mighty and untouchable Altars of Madness) IMO--much better the massively over rated "Blesssed.." which was too slow and lacking aggression...

I remember listening to Covenant when it was first released: Rapture was such a powerful track to open up the album.
