Mercyful Fate is legend, as is King Diamond, the band. 

MF’s comeback album, In the Shadows, is a masterwork.

The whole discography is mandatory metal.

Some European black metal band members actually burned churches. Quite a few bands out there that are way darker than Mercyful Fate.

I listen to some of the most extreme black metal, and while much of it is over-the-top evil, I’d argue King and Fate are about as legit Satanic as you’re gonna find.

I’m heavily Satanic. It and evil are not the same thing.

Satanism relates to evil in that it recognizes and accepts the inherent evil in man, but through dignity, and personal accountability, places full responsibility for one’s manifestation of its expressions firmly with the individual.

A true Satanist is an intelligent gentleman; the best neighbour you could hope for.

Love Behemoth. Been a fan for decades. The band has evolved and morphed in surprising ways. Nergal’s cool. Met him. I agree with much of his general philosophies, but stop shy of his polluted opinions on the political struggles of the West.

Deicide is awesome. Benton’s lyrics, however, are juvenile verbal attacks on Christianity. Which is fine. I understand his grievances. I enjoy them for what they are.

I’d love for him to spew some of his primal venom towards Islam, though.
