Deicide is awesome. Benton’s lyrics, however, are juvenile verbal attacks on Christianity. Which is fine. I understand his grievances. I enjoy them for what they are.

I’d love for him to spew some of his primal venom towards Islam, though.

Gotta love Billy Milano. Imagine the butt-hurt SJW's hearing his stuff? (SOD - A.I.D.S. "Anally Inflicted Death Sentence").
Speak English or Die, Fuck the Middle East, Bubble-Butt "You fuckin' fat Bitch", Arent you Hungry (F**k those N***'s Charity), Kill Yourself. Hilarity with blazing metal.

Saxon is a legendary English heavy metal band. Its last several efforts have been amongst its best. Shocking, really. Maiden can’t say the same.

I liked Ride like the wind since seeing Platz posing to it  :D
Saxon made a great cover IMO. Would work great as a posing song I think. Makes me pumped up and euphoric :D

Good cover. Savatage rules. Saw them back in the day at L'Amours in Brooklyn, NY.

Criss’s solo in “Ghost in the Ruins”, from Streets: A Rock Opera, is one of the greatest guitar solos I’ve ever heard.

It’s firmly in my top 10.

The note choices, pauses, phrasing, emotive articulation, backing music, technique ...

Breathtaking.

This stuff will change your life.

High art.

The album itself ranks as one of the best metal concept records of all-time.

Period.

RIP Criss

Check this out when you have some time. A full Savatage concert in a club from back in the day. Epic stuff!

Thanks for your interest.

I’ve never actually put a conscious thought to THE actual list. Haha. I just know when one falls into my hypothetical list.

Having said this, I’ll throw out a few, and I will add as the others (hopefully) come to mind.

“Back For More” - Warren DeMartini (Ratt) note: Out of the Cellar version

“La Villa Strangiato” - Alex Lifeson (Rush)

“Rosanna” (outro solo) - Steve Lukather (Toto)

“Last Chance” - Brad Gillis (Night Ranger)

“Don’t Say Goodbye” - Ian Crichton (Saga)

“Sleepless Nights” - Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) note: his portion at the tail-end, with the cosmic vibrato stabs

So, a few.

Solos by Kim Mitchell, Jorn Viggo Lofstad, Eric Johnson, and more, make the list, as well. As well as George Lynch ... LOL

Again, I’ll add as I think of specifics.

P.S. I hope some of you enjoy these. If you care to comment, that would be fun. Again, thanks for showing interest. This stuff is the blood in my veins.

"Hall" was an amazing Savatage album. I saw Dio, Megadeth, Savatage together back in 87/88.
Used to go to like a show per week back in those days, was fun. Sat in a back room w/ Joey DeMaio as he warmed up on bass before a ManOwaR gig.
Guy was intense, not relaxed. He signed the white wife-beater I was wearing that day. (SAT afternoon gig). After he signed, he smacked me hard in the chest like a weirdo.
Guy seemed off his rocker a bit, but an amazing player, and Eric Adams voice live was perfect. (Fighting the World tour w/ Ross the Boss).

Thanks man - I have to check some of those out over the next week.

A couple years ago I went to something called the M3 Rockfest.

This was the lineup:

Day 1
Faster Pussycat
Frank Hannon
KIX
Nelson
Pretty Boy Floyd
Tom Keifer

Day 2
Ace Frehley
Great White
Last in Line
Lynch Mob
Night Ranger
Queensrÿche
Sebastian Bach
Slaughter
Stryper
Tyketto
Y & T

When things normalize, you should look it up and make the trip.  It's the best vibe - since everyone is our age, they're all pretty chill, but still get into it heavy.  I think you'd like it.

Will have to work on a Top 10. I'll throw this one out there for now.

Alex Skolnick in Return to Serenity (solo is from 3:16-4:45). Too bad he's such a left wing loon who posts a lot of drivel on social media. Very disappointing that a lot of musicians/entertainers are left-wingers.
