I believe that these women just relied on only their body's youth to maintain their older selves. Mainstream fitness has evolved a lot from the 90's Buns of Steel VHS cassettes to today's Crossfit or bodybuilding courses.
Many of those older broads stay stuck in their ways...skip breakfast, run 5 miles, yogurt and banana for lunch, stair climber for 1hr, grilled salmon and asparagus for dinner, sounds of stomach growls rocks you to sleep at night...feel accomplished with 2lb weight loss in the morning, megadose on antidepressants when scale doesn't budge 3 weeks later .
