Bodybuilders/Actors who buy pre-made frozen delivery meals
« on: October 11, 2015, 07:58:58 PM »
Are complete morons.

All they do is microwave them.  Why have they not learned that any grocery store has a large Microwave meal section.

Me, personally, would never even consider the microwave isle.  I figure I may as well at least educate these retards and give them this info.

Adonis, its to keep them adherent to a diet without any troubles or worries about meal prep or cooking.  Very expensive though

Not only is about convenience but not all frozen foods are equal. For example, some believe in the Zone diet (you make think they are idiots just for that, but that's a separate issue) so what to use just their products. Same with Atkins, Paleo whatever.

You may not adhere to any set macro nutrient profile but many do. You can make a valid argument as to what kind of diet they believe in but how they adhere to that diet is pointless to argue. People that have money to spare are going to pick the easiest and most convenient method. For many, finding the time to go to the grocery store: parking, shopping, standing in line; is too time consuming.

When I stopped by the grocery store yesterday to pick up some items I got home 45 minutes later than I normally do.

You know how many selfies DLB can take in 45 minutes?

Even if you were one of those dumbfucks calculating macronutrients, you can find thousands and thousands and thousands of microwave meals of even better quality then the garbage nonsense these morons are buying at a premium price.

You could put together any Macro profile you wanted at the grocery store microwave isle.  How stupid can these people be?

MyMightyMeals in Chicago only charges 7 bucks a meal. Which, for people with money, is not unreasonable.

MightyMightyStupid and pathetic.

The meals look like shit and are a waste of money.  Poor quality.  I just pulled up their site.  Better can be had at any grocery store.

Again, it's because some don't have the time, to go to a grocery store.

A friend I know is a stunt man in Cali and he has to drive all around the State for jobs that come up randomly. He recently spent all day and most of the night on the set (mostly doing nothing). It's 2 am and he has to get up at 7:00 am. He's not going to a 24 grocery store. He's going to stop by a drive through and eat in his car on his way home. On his days off he has chores and laundry to do. Sometimes he just doesn't want to make a special trip to the grocery store.

With your berry picky and muffin baking you seem to have a lot of leisure time. Not everyone is so blessed.

it was jay curler videos in the early 2000's that motivated me to learn how to cook some basic meals, besides huge money savings it also is healthier

I'm with Adonis. Lean Cuisine Chicken Fettucine is in every store and often on sale for $2 or less. I'm around 17% BF but only because my best bud works at Dunkin Donuts.

A man who cannot cook for himself is not a man.  I cannot believe a grown person cannot cook.  Talk about being a mama's boy.

I was just reading something about being "privileged" and someone commented that sometimes it isn't really very privileged because they are spoon fed and don't know how to do shit on their own.  I guess I thank god me and my siblings were somewhat latchkey kids who learned how to cook for ourselves.

How can you be a bodybuilder and not know how to cook?  It's like being a photographer and not knowing how to develop film (in the old days).

Gotta`agree with Adam on this one, just plain dumb not to cook your own food so you know just exactly what you`re eating and how it is/was prepared.

Hes the one who keeps telling everyone a calorie is a calorie and then calls packet meals shit.

Sure, they may not taste as nice as homemade and work out more expensive, but its food at the end of the day isnt it?

The cooking method ensures uneven cooking.  The ingredients used are subpar, everything is already pre-cooked so it is by default overcooked already.  Did I mention that Microwaves are only good for three or four things- steaming vegetables, drying out herbs, melting chocolate and boiling water.

If you prefer microwave dinners, then so be it, there is nothing I can do about your 7 year old taste buds.

True,I don`t agree with the calorie is a calorie thingy, but if I buy my food fresh or from the shopping mart,at least I know it`s healthy.

You have no idea how that pre-packaged food looked before they cooked it.

Besides,I eat simple bb type meals for the most part, nothing too elaborate as a rule and it`s pretty fast to whip up some chicken, rice, and veggies or a salad.

Just my 2 cents................... can`t see spending tons of money on that shit as you know it`s overpriced and just for the lazy or rich/well off or clueless.............all of which I`m not.,especially the rich part!   :(

Yep.  Its a shame you don't understand that Walnut-Pecan Pie and Ricotta-Lemon Pancakes with Grade-B Wolven Maple Syrup is also food at the end of the day.

You need a little tupperware container labeled for a child in order to ease your eating anxieties so you can continue to look the same as you did 15 years ago.
