I didn't say "10th,-11th or HIGHER"....I said 10-11th....PERIOD!

He placed 7th....not 6th. get your facts straight

They ALLLLLLLLLLL shed the same blood, sweat and tears (as do I) when competing...it means NOTHING to the judges, commentators, or the final placings. There is no round where you get to submit an essay on "My hurdles I've overcome while preparing for this show", and they give pity points.

It's a physique contest....they judge whats in front of them.

not for nuthin there isnt anyone on this board that wouldnt want the build that bob has in those 2 pics. his arms/tris are full, good shoulders. one of the few bb's that had/has a complete build with a good taper. how many people know what its like to be in/on a shoot with pro photographers/crews knowing that the prints of you will be published. besides, the guys right, wtf did that guy think btchn to the oak was gonna do. yeah hell go back out tell the crowd there was a mistake take away 1st from dex the hand it over to mm. if your a pro ur a pro in every sense of the word. how many times did u btch backstage bob. which includes carrying yourself in certain manor win or lose. its like that with any pro in any sport (or non-sport whatever for whoever) or profession.

He just doesn't have the name yet to beat Lee or Victor or other IFBB favorites.

But, saying the David Henry should have placed higher is a joke....with obviously the best chest and legs at that contest how could he not place in the top 10???

Judges always use "symmetry" and "lines" as an excuse, that is why results in BB contests are meaningless its' like figure skating.

and also last i checked they had a whole round devoted to symmetry so i hope they are using it to judge and not to just stare at men with almost no clothes.

Ok I am not a fan of Bob, I often disagree with every statement he makes. But for this thread i am on his side. God damn it guys, you should open your eyes and you would see that mustafa looked like shit at the asc. He was fat fat fat and watery. worst conditionned athlete of the show.
Ok you can like the guy but your are too biased.
I am not a mustafa hater, if he was sharp he could win the shows. but he isn't so till he prove me wrong he isn't a top tier pro

I've said it a million times. Mustafa may be a nice guy and he may be the "people's champ" especially as a hero for the Muslim community... whatever, I don't know... BUT he does not and never will have a contest-winning physique, not in the world-class pro ranks.

Mustafa has definitely got the "wow" factor due to his size and thickness but he just doesn't have the structure to compete with more genetically gifted guys (IMO and the judges too, apparently).

I'm 245 natural. I could "juice to the gills" and maybe put on 50-60 lbs. and still look like crap and not even win a local contest. Most folks just don't have "pretty" genetics. That's why guys like Flex Wheeler and Shawn Ray are such a rarity.

That's all there is to it. It has nothing to do with Mustafa's race or religion or nationality. It has everything to do with the genetics he was born with. End of story.

I respectfully disagree. Nice or not, he has what it takes to compete at the highest level. Right now he may not have the graceful look, but his body is a sculpture and he has laid a very good foundation. A tweak here, and there, and he's got a winning package.

You can't win at the top with just good form and structure, it takes sheer mass (ala Coleman, Jay, Ruhl, etc.). There hasn't been a Bob Paris or Frank Zane win in a very long time. Trends are leaning towards Mustafa's build. And he's light years ahead compared to the others at both the Ironman and Arnold. Coming to the O built like Lee or Dex will place you nicely based on flow of muscle, but won't propel you to the top tier where only the mass wins.

Mustafa just does NOT have good lines, a la Shawn Ray/Flex Wheeler.

Hell even Nasser (from the front) in his prime.

Think of this - when artists draw a muscle-guy/superhero/bodybuilder what does the drawing look like - typically an exaggerated version of a Shawn or Flex or Arnold.

NOT a Mustafa.

MM's just genetically cursed - aint nothing you can do about your structure. He's as good as he'll ever get.

Actually he should probably SHRINK his thighs - Shawn Ray wisely backed off his thigh development + poured his energy to improve his back - worked wonders!

there are only 2 BBers ive heard of that can get ripped (actually they get super ripped!) without using cardio and believe me, Mustafa ISNT one of them! Hes a lazy bastard, even a 300lb+ ronnie coleman puts in the hours on the treadmill and stairmaster.

Why all the towards Chick from some of you guys on here? Chick is right, MM did not look as good as those that place infront of him....that's why they placed infront of him. Duh. Yes he is huge and has a great chest and huge legs but his structure is flawed and he cannot get ripped come contest time, at least not to the level of those that....uh, place in front of him. See the pattern? He doesnt want to put work into cardio, so he cannot get ripped, so he places below the better conditioned BB's.
