I also agree w/ 240, it's not such a hot idea to publically dispense personal issues like this. Sure it feels nice to get a little revenge and support, but at what cost?

Personally, I wouldn't do it just because it'd make me look just as stupid for being careless with my personal finance, and being a dolt for falling for a sob story. Kinda embarrassing imo.

And ether also has a good point -- hell if we were to choose bbers to be fans of based on their character, there wouldn't be any bodybuilding! Mustafa still has one of the best physiques around!

Mustafa had no cash at all and the MT guys had to give him a handout to cover some costs.

The NY promoters (Steve Weinberger who is reading this right now) really came across as a cheapskate from the details I got (provided by Mustafa and Milos).  Apparently, Pavol Jablonicky didn't do the show because Steve and company didn't give him any funds for a cab and misc expenses, maybe a few hundred bucks in total.

If this did indeed happen it should be posted on these boards then they will have some kind of incentive to STOP DOING SHIT LIKE THAT.  Christ, how cheap can you be Steve?   

If this isn't true, and this is false information relayed to me, scratch what I said, but knowing how these second tier pro shows are run and how cheap they are, I would put my money on it being true.

Is Tony Doherty (who is also reading this right now), the only second tier show promoter who treats the bodybuilders with respect?  It seems like everyone else just treats them like a bunch of meatheads.

I'm sure Milos is 1000% right in this matter and he was not paid what he was owed for his services.  I would be pissed too.  Royally!

I guess my point- and the reason why I never speak a WORD about bad business dealings on the board- is that people remember it.  I've had people from getbig that didn't pay their bill. And I'll never speak their name.  Why? Cause potential customers will realize that if they ever stumbled into a bad luck streak (which does happen in business) they might face public humiliation.  Any customers that don't work out- I give them a full refund and an apology.  Any customers who don't pay- I either implement a prepay policy (which I now have) or I just wait.  I don't hold their files- or their reputation- hostage, as they can't pay you back if you ruin their good name and means of income.  I WORK with them to make their business more profitable, not ruin their future earning power by airing dirty laundry... 

Perhaps a better solution for this situation does exist.  Right now, Mustafa's rep is ruined (which means he won't get guest poses), Milos is seen as one who airs laundry (bad for future client attraction) and Mustafa will not place as high at the next show, without Milos' help.  Bad situation for all.  Might be a binding contract contingent upon Milos getting a % of Mustafa's winnings at the next show in exchange for his advice, be a better solution? Everyone gets more value out of the equation.  Mustafa and Milos are seen as nice guys, Mustafa looks better at the show, Milos gets $ back and rep grows as a result of a high MM placing.  Probably too late now, but maybe next time.  Just my 2 cents.

Exactly.  The judges either (a) have an agenda, (b) are blind, (c) want Mustafa to "pay his dues" just like Ronnie, Gunter, etc, had to do before him.  Hopefully it is (c), but who knows?  All I know is that Mustafa comes in big and shredded in every show.  Coming second last (only beating Greg Kovacs) at the 2004 ASC?  WTF!  Meanwhile Jay, who shouldn't have been in the top five, showing up flat as a pancake, comes in first???

Again as someone said, it is the some of the whole, not individual bodyparts. Paul Demayo had some of the freakiest quads, but look where he placed in the 95 Olympia.
Mustafa is good, but has no flow, and arms are too small.

and by the way, has Haidar complined of racism due to him being middle easter, and losing some close calls. No he hasn't. As a matter of fact, Haidar's physique flows way better than MM in my opinion. And that is probably why Haidar has had more Magazine covers and training articles than MM.

It is hard when someone asks you for money - I have been burned a few times, unfortunately..

Most for small amounts ($100, $200, etc), but the largest was for $1,300 which I gave to a 'friend' who really need to get out of a bind...  never have seen the money since... and I don't think I will, as eventually he was arrested for stealing money from credit cards...

BUT, in other cases, I have given money to various friends, who have paid me back, some took a few years, but they gave me what they had until they had.  One whom, eventually gave $2,500, has paid me back almost everything, and he will give me the rest in a few months. It felt good to help someone who really needed it...

It is a touchy situation... and sometimes, people will burn you..
