I saw an interview with Obama and when they asked him about Trump he just called him a reality TV star and not a politician, same when they asked Hillary. Wouldn't it be in their best interest if Trump was the repub nominee and not someone like Jeb or Rubio? Trump won't get any of the brown votes, nor the female votes in a general election. It would be a landslide win for Hillary. The Democratic Party should be promoting Trump and running a campaign to get him the nomination.

MSNBC is already acting like trump is the nominee, talking a lot about how the debates with hilary will go.

Repub/conservative and respected columnist George Will has repeatedly said Trump is a democrat plant, to either win and rule as a liberal, or damage the other repubs and escort hilary to the win.

So far, it sure looks like that. Trump has drowned out jeb, rubio, etc. And he's already said he'll spend $12 trillion and tax the shit out of the rich, consider dems on his cabinet, and he'd be okay with a pro-abortion person being appointed to the supreme court.

All repubs base voters care about is "he hates mexicans!"

I'd actually say that the only reason dems hate him is that same exact reason^^ They believe he hates Mexicans when that's clearly not the case...Trump has many similar policy proposals as bernie sanders yet they're less risky and more cost efficient in the long-term...but the answer is less detailed and always seems to resort back to a quote i said years ago "The Democrats would vote for the devil if there was a "D" next to it's name"

If you take away trump's part-time position of "i'm going to deport 30 million people - 10% of the population - within ten years"

if you take THAT away, he's bernie sanders all the way.

And considering trump said in July 2015 that the illegals COULD stay if they just don't break any more laws... he's inconsistent on that main point even.

Not true. You can vote as wanted in the General election.

As for Trump, what he may say vs. what he means doesn't matter. There are enough sound bites of him putting his foot in his mouth. Once a general election starts and the shit flinging happens the Dems have enough ammunition to create 100 commercials bashing Trump. he is the perfect candidate for them to run against. They'd have more trouble against a squeaky clean Rubio who might get all of the brown votes the Dems need to win.
