Nice card all around. Lemieux certainly was game. Early, but not unwarranted stoppage.

Agreed, brute skill.... GGG may have best jab in boxing, and left hook to body is a legit KO punch.
I can't remember a fighter knocking guys down with that punch, not Tyson, not Chavez... their body
shots wore guys down over time, but GGG's punch can get you out  of there at any time.

boxing is fucking joke now. people got sold on GGG vs Lemieux and their $60 while odds makers had it 1600 to 1 or some crazy FMW vs Berto number.  Now, lil G and Micro-Man (who would get pieced by Rigondeaux (natual 118 so they could meet at 116) at a catch weight) are being talked about as p4p #1. Ring Mag editors should be shot.  

No respect to an 11 yr reigning HW in the 1 punch spark division.

Still I don't like when referees stop a battle between two guys who's names are on the line. Let one of them go comatose if need be. At least it wasn't a stupid one, but still.

Ricky Hatton is the only other fighter i can think of that was dismantling guys with body shots. GGG has wicked power, probably the most of this generation, but still doesnt measure up to Julian Jackson IMO.
