I don't know many Hawaiians, but you're roght.  The ones I know are twisted, confused, self hating trump supporters.

First time I ever visited Hawaii - arrived in Waikiki - two things were immediately obvious.

1 - Japs were everywhere.  My first thought was "damn, we won the war but they got the island????"   

2 - The homeless numbers were incredible.  Hawaii has a lot of natural beauty and sights.  But go to the parks and on every bench and under every shady tree are homeless people with their carts and bags.
