« on: October 20, 2015, 05:03:30 AM »
as an experienced street fighter im going to pass on some tips to my fellow get biggers

in this first instalment some tips on when fighting martial arts experts

akido - made famous by stevan (the real deal) segal

when fighting an akido master don't run at him with your arm out straight and do a forward somersault when he grabs your wrist

this will put you at a positional disadvantage

I would recommend hitting him over the head with a baseball bat as an  alternative or simply punching him in the face while he moves in to different "forms"

Yes, always use your opponents weight against them in a fight, although this technique is useless if you get in a ruck with dj181

When fighting a getbig trolling master would you first turn to photoshops or start with some Facebook sleuthing?

ask them to send you a photo via a Google mail account this way you can access their PC data and also their IP address.

Allow me to post some much more effective tips:

Remove your pistol from holster.
Point it at your offender.
In a firm and commanding voice say, "Get the fuck back, or I will shoot you!"

Aikido is the biggest fraud martial art, theres a reason why nobody in the ufc uses it, and there are no street fight videos with anyone using it.Unless anyone is doing boxing, kickboxing, judo, jujitsu or some variation of those then they are just doing ballet.

Mainstream ufc watching really has increased the general understanding of what actual fighting is like.

Yup, as much as I dislike the rolling round the mat part of ufc, I can't deny its also how alot of streetfights end up.

Yes, but the one time you find yourself about to throw down in the street with a true Aikido master, you will be glad bigmc took it upon himself to prepare you.

Show respect.

If you know how to wrestle at all I always go for the clinch even if they means eating a few shots. Get that plum around their neck and let them eat some knees. Or a simple trip and you are on top of them in Full mount. If it's  a one on one fight. If its a bar fight close your eyes and swing as hard as you can lol  ;D

Aikido is actually a pretty solid martial art. It is indeed not a streetfight or very competitive art, but then it never pretended to be.
Aikido is more about finding balance, discipline and a philosophy (and in some ways a lifestyle). Which is not to say some techniques and principles don't work. Wristlocks and the throws that are taught are very effective, and would do damage.

The only thing that prevents Aikido from being 'more realistic' is that it simply lacks the competitive nature and thus sparring, preventing any 'hands-on'-experience. Which doesn't detract from Aikido as a martial art, or its value to for example help kids in gaining discipline.
