On the guru's jock
« on: October 20, 2015, 05:50:07 AM »
Have any of you ever noticed those people who get so offended by something irreverent someone said? I have always found it funny because some react as if their best friend or family member was slandered or defamed.  I have seen people go into full-blown bitch fits because someone said something off-putting about Louie Simmons or John Meadows. And then there's my favorite: "Why don't ya get IFBB pros into shape. Then you can talk!" As if someone needs to train an IFBB pro (IFBB pros are the big winners in this world, as you know) to disprove a fallacy or poke at at asinine statements. :)

I was pondering about this the other day as well.  Facebook/Twitter/IG has given idiots way too much of a sense of self-importance.
People practically stalk these gurus on social media and take their every word as law.
Only Layne Norton should be taken seriously, did you know he has a PhD???  ::)

I once saw Layne speak at a conference (I work in nutrition) at a college, so I am well aware of his Phd. Some nutrition students lined up for photos with him as if he is a celebrity.
