Hey Bro, what's your take on the anabolic window?

I know this question is for Bro, but I'll add my dos centavos.

The anabolic window only lasts an hour, and it is imperative that you slam down a post-workout shake immediately after you are done lifting. I mean you literally must start sipping after you finish your last rep. Let's say you are doing machine preacher curls for your last exercise. As soon as you release the bar and the weight stack drops, you begin sipping on a PWO shake consisting of fast acting whey protein and fast acting carbs, such as waxy maize or dextrose. The shake must contain a protein-carb ratio of around 1-2 (eg, 50 grams of protein and 100 grams of carbs). How much you take is dependent on bodyweight.

A lot of people ask if they can use juice in their PWO shake. I say no. Fructose can't shuttle to the muscles as fast as waxy maize and not a second should be wasted when getting anabolic nutrients into just-trained muscles. Besides, when trying to shred, fruit is bad for you.

This PWO shake is crucial because at the end of a training session, the body has gone through serious trauma, akin to post-surgery trauma. The shake immediately has you "going anabolic".

One hour later you must consume your highest calorie meal of the day.

You shouldn't have a lifting partner. It's okay to have brahs at the gym you can nod to on your way in the gym and as your leaving the gym running off to business meeting, but the Alpha is a lone wolf.

What makes you an alpha?

Broseph, what if me and my male friend share an ice cream cone together and lick the ice cream at the same time. Is this alpha?

Boils down to 2 questions:

1. How much money do you make?

2. How much can you bench?

In my own case the answers put me in Alpha Status.

Is there a minimum for each or is it mathematical combination of both. Let me know because your opinion matters.  ::)

Some alphas were not rich and there many rich men who are immoral disgraces.

This definitely is up there with stuff like running a country or running or serving in the military, inventing, flying planes, saving or improving lives, and so forth.

Are you licking the ice cream off of each others cones or off each others nipples? That would make a difference.

Your picture is cut off, would your cock heads be tip to tip? No homo of course, just 2 Alphas sharing some cream.

Nothing more than 2 dudes sharing some ice cream. Nothing more, nothing less.

Please define what an alpha male is.

And considering how few alpha males exist in this world, it won't matter that others go out to eat with their friends sometimes, supposedly wrecking their alpha status that doesn't exist in the first place, right?

Are you alpha? How so? Please provide characteristics besides lifting weights.

Not every alpha male has a "dime piece" and having a dime piece doesn't make someone alpha.

Please search Esfitness for definition of "alpha male"

Research has shown that anyone who makes a post about alpha males is a beta. Google it
I second this, or anyone who wears a hat that says "Alpha"

An Alpha male eats in restaurants in the company of dime piece FEMALES ONLY.

Two dudes going to a restaurant together amounts to going on a date. A true Alpha wouldn't be caught dead entering a restaurant with another fella and requesting a table for two.

The only exception would be a business meeting where the Alpha is closing a huge deal. Even then the Alpha will make every effort to meet at his office.
You are trying too hard...pathetic.

Not necessarily, but those lazy afternoons in the hammock together, dreaming about buying that bed and breakfast in Vermont, is a dead giveaway.

This gimmick has a good point. It does feel a little gay to go eat with a guy friend unless it's fast food, sports bar or buffet IMO. Once went to a steakhouse with a friend just because we wanted a good steak, but it was very fancy gave off the vibe that it's a place best used to take a chick to. Steak was good tho.  :D

Hey Bro, this is my favorite all-you-can-eat buffet. Can me and my other bodybuilder friends eat here together?
