As far as the pedicure thing, I too used to mock it, but got one a year or so ago and it felt good. I have toenail fungus on my big toe and it's the only thing I found that takes care of it, albeit cosmetically. It's just like a body massage. I'm not getting them painted, just filed, clipped, scrubbed and massaged. I genuinely recommend you should try it.

But in all seriousness, get yourself in a chair and get the pedicure. They usually have massage seats that rub your back while your getting it done. They even offer you beer too. Not sure if that's street legal or not though.
