Perfect diet for failure due to obsession with food.
« on: October 27, 2015, 07:29:00 AM »
The psychology of the diet seems to get little play here, but there are a million little tricks you can use to make it easier on yourself.  Things like Robby Robinson eating all his food out of one bowl and the  decreasing the size to a smaller bowl.

A poster on here designed almost the perfect diet for obsessing over food:  one big meal a day.  Psychologically that will result in placing way too much emphasis on that one meal.  Then binges and yoyo rebounds.

The best way to diet is to avoid reading magazines and watching TV.  They advertise food 24/7.  Out of sight, out of mind.

How about you bust your ass in the gym and hold yourself accountable outside of it as well?

Having willpower and strength of will is good, but putting the junk out of sight or out of the house entirely is good also.

I think a good deal of the benefit of breaking up calories into smaller spread out meals comes not from any nutritional aspect but more from its psychology.
