I still don't get this. Why do people flock to watch her pump meaningless reps like she is a zoo animal? What is the appeal? What the fuck is wrong with these people?

AZURE, OLD SCHOOL, etc.,

There are no more Gold's Gyms in Las Vegas. The locations which have not closed down completely are now called "EOS" and the monthly membership fee as far as I know is $10.00 a month for one location and $20 a month for any location.

The above fees could have been changed a bit since I last inquired though.

The LIFETIME club here in Las Vegas charges $120 a month ....  or so I have been told. I was given a tour through the facility when it first opened and can honestly say that it is one of the finest looking gym facilities I have everr seen ... and I have seen a lot of private and public gym facilities throughout the years ,,, but never on the East Coast nor in the orient since a long time ago.

There are a large number of small gym facilities throughout the Las Vegas basin ... most of which I bet you've never heard of.

How about "YAK's" for a starter?

I can recall the days when the major cities throughout the US had a maximum of one "gym" plus various Y'MCAs but those days have been long gone since President Kennedy told everyone to get off their asses and lose some fat.

And after four friends purchased one Gold's location in Santa Monica for the price of a handful of cashews, they worked it into a world wide 'frenzy'.

And the rest is history.

I wish them both much success in their new business.

Cool! Good to know stunt movie!! I think I confused lifetime with anytime. Those are different places. Wasn't impressed with anytime fitness

I like hearing the history. Even back in the late 90's there was still somewhat of a community. Great times. Wasn't w fan of Golds Venice when I had to actually pay. The first time I was in awe but thought it was too expensive for the day  :D

Lifetime, Planet Citness, 24 hr fitness and all the rest of those mega gyms are doomed to fail also.  Their business model is based on a scam of sucking dollars out of people that don't go and not letting them get out of their memberships.  Also all sorts of little fees and up charges.  It's all smoke and mirrors.  They do not take in enough revenue to support all their facilities and are all undercapitalized houses of cards.  They are based on a lie.  People do not have that kind of money to spend on gyms for the most part.  As the recession takes hold they will begin closing more and more facilities just like the old Jack Lalanes closing down.

As for DLB.  I agree with all here who say she brings a sorely missed energy to the lifestyle and I applaud her for it.  That being said, she and Rob are pump and dump scam artists whose business is also based on a lie.  She's pumped full of drugs but pretending otherwise.  PT Barnum scamming the suckers.  They get in early on the social media bubble and ride the wave.  But it's all bullshit.  They'll see that owning a gym is a love, not a business.

Looks much better here. Some murals here and there would be cool, for example...

Love this!

Wish we had more of this throughout the country!  It's been a long time since I've been in an inspiring training environment.
