you have good legs condition/size,,you don't have any desire to squat heavy at all at this point?

I didnt build my legs through squatting, I have NEVER squatted heavy.

Why do you think you have to squat to have good legs?
Stress the muscle through exercise and it will grow, your quad doesnt know if its squatting or doing leg extensions or leg pressing.

I AGREE and have done it all leg wise,,i'm strong at squatting and sometimes roll some heavy squats sessions.just a preference.i think leg presses/hacks build the legs and done wonders on my legs as well...

and he did it with passion, compare that with most guys...

And he had a perfect technique, which only few are smart enough to copy, even it is clearly best there is. His squat and hack squat techniques are something, which every bodybuilder should try at least a period of few month.

Platz hack squats are fucking idiotic when he starts hyper extending the knees, he was lucky to get away with not blowing them out.

No, it makes perfect sense and it has nothing to do with luck. You see, while you are using a full range of motion and perfect form for the movement, you don't have to use so much weight, so you start with light weight and during the years your knees would be accustomed to the load. In the mean while your legs will grow fuller and better than any other technique. You just have to understand what is the difference which comes from the stand and range of motion. Platz was putting more work to the thighs and less on the gluteus, which is heavily involved in ordinary squat and hack squat. I am old  fart and I can do it with no trouble, even if I have hated hack squats my whole life because it hurts my knees. No, it doesn't hurt if you do it right way.

Like everything in the bodybuilding, it is all about the weight. If you try to do it like Platz but with the same weight you use with a wide stand hack, it probably kill your knees. If you start with the moderate weights, you realize that you are using the parts of the muscle which you haven't trained never before, and your knees will be just fine. And if you really want to beat the crap out from your thighs, use supersets.

Have you posted a pic of your quads to demonstrate the effectiveness of your technique?

I almost chuckled... Venom Vince style to the 'use parts of the muscle you've never trained before'

A bit off topic, but the moronic flex mags / brawn articles used to claim you should squat to gain arm size, didn't help me platz out much did it?

Maybe all that squatting helped him tear his bicep off.

The weight factor is relative to variables like form, volume & rest intervals. The feeling is indeed different when you place your heels right below the weight stack of a hack machine, but that's a disaster for your knees on the long run, even with a light weight.
I'm a big believer in performing supersets (front squats with walking lunges is one of my favorites). They allow me to focus on the muscle without too much fucking with the joints.

At the end of the day, you're still hostage to genetics.

This is exactly why bodybuilding is so fucking hard: Every one knows better than anyone else, and IF you dare to give little hint, a tiny piece of advice which is well-grounded and based purely on physical facts, then there is this fucking nerd child who want see some pictures. Sorry boys, I don't try to force you to do anything smart, you may be just as blockheads as you have been all your life. You see, it means nothing to me if you are training like morons and apes. That's completely your business. I just wonder why you bother reading this crap from here and magazines, and watching videos etc.? I do it because I want to learn new things, but you? Apparently it has more to do with wanking than training.. ;D

So, lets sum this up so you guys can rest in peace: Tom Platz is moron with skinny legs which he didn't know how to train, and everybody who try to follow his methods, is an stupid asswhipe. I have to admit that this is more like GETBIG® piece of opinion.

Platz was probably the hardest trainer there was. Guys nowadays (most) kill me with their meme's you see posted all over the internet.

Like they are "doing battle", "going to war", etc. No, you are lifting weights. Stop comparing yourself to soldiers who really do go to war, lose limbs, lose life.
Stop it, you're embarrassing yourselves.
Would have been awesome to see a training battle between Tom Platz and Ronnie Coleman.

My props to him.
He should do some experimenting on foot placement in order to allow his biomechanics to do the lift in a more vertical posture.

Platz adreesses it in his vid:

Compared to what? Compared to legs of Platz, yes. Compared to the legs of anonym nerd child, who doesn't train at all, they look pretty good. And what makes you think that your opinion mean anything at all? It is only an illusion in your empty head ;D

Very informative video, but there is also a quite big problem. You see, there is no doubt that Platz has knowledge, far better than most of us. But if you follow his advice, you may have to admit that you have been wrong. Only few have balls to do that  ;D
