I am currently reading a book called "Intimacy and solitude", I haven't been able to put it down for very long.  It is really resonating with me and my current life circumstances.

Just finished "Unbroken". Really amazing what the soldiers went through in that era. Most of the attention was given to the European Theatre so a lot of people just don't appreciate or know just how brutal, cruel and heartless the Japanese were. Just a warrior culture. It's amazing to how they are now compared to the modern day Sparta they were then.

I lived in Torrance, CA and the surrounding area for almost twenty years and use to drive past Louis Zamperini's house regularly without even knowing it. At one point I had an apartment just couple of blocks from where he lived.

Damn I wish I could have met him in person.

Literally just started (20pgs in) "No Great Mischief" by Alistair MacLeod.  Also spending time with "Getting Things Done" - David Allen.  "Jelqing for Dummies" has got a few solid chapters.

Among other things, I'm trying to bring up my programming skills.

Coursera offers a course in Python basics based on this book:

http://www.pythonlearn.com/book_007.pdf

I'm also reading the book that book was based on: Think Python.

There's really no excuse for being a useless POS, these days, as there's so much knowledge available online about pretty much everything.

Reading Future Crimes by Marc Goodman. Interesting topic, internet hacking, crimes, security, etc. Too early to recommend at this point.
