Stole property from wealthy citizens and alienated the upper class, who have fled the country or are attempting to flee without losing all of their money. Wealthy people run the businesses needed to sustain the lower classes. Once they leave, an entire country is plunged into darkness. You can't buy basic necessities like toilet paper because the country is filled with corruption. Venezuela produces the 4th or 5th most oil of any country in the world. The country has gone so far Dan Hill since the socialists took over. For Bernie Sanders fans, look at Venezuela to see what happens when you steal from the rich.
